I’ll be biting my nails as I watch from the wings. Will my newly launched novel fly or will it crash? Will readers find it? If they do, how will they receive it? Will they shower it with four-star reviews, or will they reject it and complain that it’s the worst thing they’ve ever read?
Never heard of a blog tour? Until mine was scheduled, I’d never heard of one either. Simply put, it’s part of the promotional effort set up for me by my book’s publisher. It’s the online counterpart to an in-person book launch. It gives the author a platform from which to talk about her book and build a buzz for it with guest blogs and interviews, while it also includes reviews and enticing book give-aways.
The tour gives the author the opportunity to connect with infinitely more potential readers than doing actual, in-person tours. It’s the perfect plan for the public-speaking impaired. It’s cheaper too and can be conducted without makeup, with messy hair, and in your PJ’s.
My whirlwind book tour has 14 stops scheduled, and I hope you will join me at all of them. It starts October 15 and runs through October 30.
Here’s the schedule:
October 15 Sapphyria's Book Reviews (Guest Post)
October 16 Books-n-Kisses (Review)
October 17 Shelley's Book Case (Review, Guest Post)
October 18 Darla King Series (Review)
October 19 Psychotic State Book Reviews (Review, Guest Post)
October 20 Deal Sharing Aunt (Interview)
October 21 Lisa K’s Book Reviews (Guest Post)
October 22 Traci Andrighetti's Blog (Review)
October 23 A Blue Million Books (Interview)
October 24 Teresa Trent Author Site (Review, Interview)
October 27 Mochas, Mysteries and Meows (Guest Post)
October 28 Cozy Up With Kathy (Interview)
October 29 Dalene's Book Reviews (Review)

Here’s hoping it’s a tour de force.
As a reminder, I’ll be posting links on Facebook and Twitter each day. I hope you’ll stop by to see how we’re doing, leave a comment, and tell your friends. And remember … it’s virtual, so there’s no need to dress up. In fact, if you show up in your PJ’s, I promise, it’s okay.
